Working for a Living ...
In this age of constant attack on the
purebred dog breeders it is time to think about why we have
purebreds and what they add to our lives.
Purebred dogs have a known genetic
background that allows you to predict not just looks and
structure, but also in temperament and trainability. It is this
predictability that finds organizations like Positive
Partners Assistance Dogs, Inc. using purebred German
Shepherd dogs in their training program.
The newest graduate from their program is
a handsome long coated German Shepherd Dog. This handsome black
and red dog will spend his life traveling the country with his
new partner. Training a dog for service is a time consuming and
expensive process and using a dog with a known background makes
the prospect for success much higher than were they to start
with a puppy of unknown background.
